Eat While They Live

July 20, 2010

We’ve been a little busy and going through some changes here at the household. I put together some chicken salad and attempted another loaf of whole wheat bread (this one turned out a little better)

Not the prettiest picture but I was in a hurry to eat!

The Bread

3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. nonfat drymilk
2 tsp. instant yeast
2 tbsp. unsalthed butter, softened at room temp.
1 1/2 cups water, room temp
Mix all together in bowl  until dough is soft. Dripped oil on my hands and covered dough ball with it and cover and let sit for two hours. Put dough on lightly floured surface and shape into a rectangle. Put in oiled bread loaf pan and cover and let sit for another hour and a half. Preheat oven to 350. Bake for hour rotating pan in between (30 minutes in). Place finished bread on wire rack and let cool. Enjoy!

Little One  actually ate some veggies (Peas) willingly and without me begging her:

Pea for a nose

We hit up the park down the road and fed the ducks, fish, and turtles the rest of my last loaf.

But heres a little recap of today at least.

Woke up and filled our tummies with blueberry pancake with strawberry topping

Miette's Plate

Mommy's Pancake

Blueberry Face!

Then we all folded clothes! What fun!

Loves to get on her pony and hand us the clothes to fold

Though we're not fast enough for her sometimes

Then lunch:

cheese quesdillas with raisins and a yogurt pretzel
